Bien Fiat Specialty Cakes: Small Vermont Bakery Goes Big Time Just in time for the holidays.

Greensboro, VT— Bien Fait Specialty Cakes, a small bakery nestled in the hills of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, has expanded its capacity just in time for the holidays. Baked goods are now available year-round at a new website: www.bienfaitspecialtycakes.com.

Bien Fait is acclaimed for its all natural, preservative-free fruitcakes and teacakes. In an effort to meet the growing holiday season demand for these fresh, natural, and delicious baked goods, the bakery has moved to a newly renovated farmhouse that features an immaculate commercial kitchen and an expanded shipping area. The bakers have also just devised new recipes for enticing snack bars to add to a growing list of baked treats.

It is important to note that Bien Fait has been satisfying lovers of old-fashioned homemade baked treats, as well as “foodies”, since 1995. The bakery has been recognized three times by Marian Burros of The New York Times in the annual list of best foods by mail, and featured in Yankee Magazine, Family Circle and Vermont Life Magazine. The bakery’s new website has been launched just in time for the long established holiday tradition of sending and receiving fruitcakes. Bien Fait’s fruitcakes, however, bear no resemblance to the cakes of old —a slice of a Bien Fait cake melts in the mouth and quickly disappears from the plate. Bien Fait’s sumptuous cakes are handmade in small batches from scratch with fresh dried fruits and the finest natural ingredients, including Vermont maple syrup, honey, and apple cider from local farms.

Bien Fait (pronounced beeyen fay) has two meanings in French: well made and well done. It is a compliment often heard from the bakery’s northern neighbors in Quebec when they taste the wonderful, rich flavors of its baked treats. Bien Fait Specialty Cakes is an L3C corporation, with all net profits going to support a community enrichment program for children and seniors at Greensboro Wonder & Wisdom, Inc.
